basketball Courts

Artificial Turf basketball courts for schools, clubs and communities.

Sportsplay designs and installs artificial turf basketball courts for schools, clubs and community facilities. These systems are designed for high-use environments where surfaces must remain reliable, safe and available year-round.

Courts can be designed as a single basketball court or integrated into a multi-sport layout to support a range of activities on the same surface.

Court layouts are planned around the needs of each school or facility, ensuring the space supports daily play, sport programmes and community use.

Why choose sportsplay for your basketball court

  • Many schools and community facilities require courts that support multiple sports within the same space. Sportsplay designs layouts that maximise use of the available area.

    Common configurations include:

    • Basketball courts

    • Basketball and netball combined courts

    • Basketball with tennis or pickleball within the same area

    • General recreation courts for multiple activities

Court layouts are planned around the needs of each school or facility, ensuring the space supports daily play, sport programmes and community use.

  • Artificial turf courts allow schools and community facilities to maintain consistent use throughout the year.

    Key advantages include:

    • Fast draining surfaces after rainfall

    • Reduced mud and dust compared with natural grass

    • Stable traction for running and play

    • Reliable surface performance across all seasons

    • This allows facilities to maximise play time without frequent closures.

  • Sportsplay turf systems are designed to withstand continuous daily use from students, clubs and community users.

    Features include:

    • Durable sports turf fibres designed for heavy traffic

    • Reinforced backing systems

    • Infill systems that support surface stability

    • Even playing surface across the entire court area

    • These systems are suited to school environments where surfaces are used throughout the day.

  • Artificial turf courts require significantly less maintenance than natural grass areas.

    Maintenance requirements typically include:

    • Periodic brushing to maintain fibre position

    • Surface cleaning to remove debris

    • Occasional infill top-ups if required

    • There is no mowing, irrigation or seasonal turf recovery.

  • Every project is planned around the needs of the school, club or community space.

Sportsplay works with each client to determine:

    • Court size and layout

    • Sports to be accommodated within the area

    • Line marking configuration

    • Equipment placement such as hoops or nets

The result is a surface that supports daily play while maximising the usable space available.

  • “Great to have Sportsplay onboard the project from start to finish, one of deciding factors in going to an artificial turf was our last facility didn’t accommodate that, we had puddles, we have a lot of rain and snow over winter but now it’s a space we can use all year round”

Dave Leslie, Contractor and Former Board Member.

“Working with Matt and the team at Sportsplay was simply fantastic, what I love most was the bespoke design, Matt did not come and say this is how its going to be done, he came and he listened and worked with us a team, worked out what would suit us here at Tinwald School, Matt was so accommodating, we couldn’t be happier”

    – Peter Livingstone , Tinwald School Principal.

  • Long-term durability without paint wear

  • Multiple sports marked within the same court

  • Customised layouts based on facility requirements

  • Line colours and layouts can be customised to suit the sports played at the facility.
