Custom HYROX

Sled Track

Sportsplay was engaged by Flex Fitness Belfast to design and install a custom sled track, creating a high-performance training zone built to withstand the demands of a busy commercial gym.

The project involved the supply and installation of an 11m x 3m custom sled track, complete with premium gym flooring, specified commercial grade rubber matting, and high-performance adhesive systems to ensure exceptional durability and long term performance.

The completed installation includes:

  • Custom 11m x 3m sled track

  • Commercial grade rubber gym flooring

  • Premium high density gym matting

  • Specified high performance adhesive system

  • Durable, heavy duty surface designed for sled pushes and functional training

  • Professional installation with seamless integration into the existing gym layout

With the rapid growth of HYROX as one of the world's fastest growing fitness competitions, dedicated sled tracks have become an essential feature in modern training facilities.

As a key component of every HYROX race, the sled push and sled pull demand a surface that delivers the right balance of grip, durability, and performance.

Purpose built sled tracks allow athletes of all levels to train safely and effectively, while providing gyms with a premium functional training area that can withstand heavy daily use.

As HYROX continues to gain momentum across Australia and New Zealand, investing in a professional sled track is becoming an increasingly valuable addition for forward-thinking fitness facilities.

I have already passed on details for other people to use Matt, just because their team was so good. Like I said, coming in on a Saturday to get that stuff done. Can't fault that!

Stamina

World class artificial turf from Sportsplay, engineered for performance, durability, and player safety. 9 colours shown. Isolated on a white background.

Our Stamina 15mm system was selected for its durability, consistent ball performance and ability to withstand heavy daily use in a school environment. The non-directional surface provides excellent traction and player comfort while requiring minimal ongoing maintenance compared to traditional hardcourt surfaces.

The surface combines monofilament fibres with a short curly texturised layer to create a dense, durable playing surface suitable for multiple sports and recreation activities.

The system requires significantly less sand infill than traditional sports turf. Because sand is abrasive, reducing the amount used helps extend fibre life and maintain surface performance.

Stamina also features FibreForce backing with fibreglass reinforcement to improve strength and reduce expansion and contraction. A higher stitch rate and increased pile height create a more comfortable surface that is easier on joints while maintaining durability for daily use.
