KNIGHTs Stream SCHOOL
Sportsplay delivered a purpose built multi-sport recreation space at Knights Stream School, designed to support active play, skill development, and high daily student use within a safe and durable environment.
The project combined structured sporting spaces with interactive play elements to create a versatile area that could be used throughout the school day for both organised activities and free play.
Project Scope
The project included the full design and construction of a 900m² artificial turf mini football and hockey field, along with associated civil and recreational works, including:
Full civil works and site preparation
Subsoil drainage installation
Asphalt surfacing
900m² mini football and hockey turf field
140m² Gaga Pit area
2 x Four Square courts
1 x Hopscotch game
1 x Snake Alphabet game
The recreational play areas were designed to encourage movement, engagement, and inclusive play opportunities for students of all ages.

Surface & Product Specification
The sports court was installed using our Stamina sports turf system, specifically selected for school and multi-use recreational environments. The shorter pile height and dense yarn structure provide a durable, low-maintenance surface with excellent traction, consistent ball response, and year-round usability.
Designed for high foot traffic and everyday school activity, the Stamina system delivers a reliable surface suitable for football, hockey, and general recreation while maintaining comfort underfoot for students.
The Gaga Pit area featured our Residential Allplay 40mm turf, selected for its softer feel, durability, and suitability for active recreational play spaces.
Built for Everyday School Use
This project was designed to maximise usable play space while creating an environment that encourages activity, movement, and connection. By combining sport, recreation, and interactive games into one integrated area, the finished result provides Knights Stream School with a highly functional space that students can enjoy all year round.
